ABOUT
Nat Kunz, a twenty-something from Vancouver, Canada who is currently living and teaching in Australia after four years in London. She trained as a Pilates teacher in 2017, started Pilates in the Park in 2020, and is the founder of A Movement Club.
Nat understands that routines ebb and flow. Whether we’re working, partying, grieving, being a parent/child/sibling/friend, or travelling, our ability and desire to work-out changes. There is no pressure in how you show-up or if you do. Movement is an opportunity for you to take a break, to clear your mind, to strengthen and to stretch your body, to feel good, and to show-up as a better person for the people around you. How can we incorporate movement into our life without it becoming a chore or a punishment? Being a part of AMC, includes but is not limited to enjoying a Snack with Nat, Pilates in the Park, a walk, a run, and Nat’s favourite, dancing at a festival.
With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Nat has a gift of connecting with students - whether it’s a private session or a full class. Her love for movement stemmed from spending her childhood in a dance studio which transformed into a passion for creating a space in which others can learn the powerful effects of movement. Through her own injuries and physical changes, along with years of working with different bodies, she is deeply intuitive with sequencing, adapting, and progressing movement. In knowing that no two bodies are the same, Nat guides with intentional cues giving space for her students to take what they need to leave out what they don’t. In Nat’s classes you will experience thoughtful movement, breath-driven flow, and a strong emphasis on alignment and tuning into what you are feeling. She curates each class with a playlist to have the room moving and breathing together.
Nat’s certifications include a 60-hour mat Pilates, Lagree fitness, Barre Fitness, Heartcore and The Class by Taryn Toomey, not to mention in-house pre/post natal training, trauma training, digital training through the various studios she has taught for in Vancouver, London, and New York. Aside from eight years of teaching experience, Nat holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Food, Nutrition, and Health.
